Tafts first love of sports was a result of her upbringing filled with athletes. She played at different levels in both school and college, but she chose to be a TV broadcaster. Taft's professional career started at Fox Sports North in the role of a sideline journalist and regional affiliate when she received a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University. As well as covering sports Taft worked as social media content contributors, and was also filling the gaps for a variety of games.
